# Trick Jev

> Change Jev's mind one word at a time. Players build a phrase word by word to push Jev, an AI model, toward an answer, and Jev scores the whole phrase after every change.

Every guess players make is public. The API is read-only JSON over GET, with no key or sign-in.

## API

- [Every question](https://trickjev.com/api/questions): each published question's slug, title, kind, category, `playUrl`, and `guessesUrl`.
- `GET https://trickjev.com/api/questions/{slug}/guesses`: every word players have added to one question, oldest first. Unknown or unpublished slugs return 404.

Each guess has:

- `word`: what the player typed: one word, a mini sentence's few words, or a golf phrase.
- `phrase`: the whole phrase Jev scored once the word was added.
- `percentage`: the score from 0 to 100. For yes/no questions it's the odds of the answer players are going for; for choice questions, the odds Jev picks `choice`; for score and ranked questions, how far up the scale Jev landed.
- `mode`: `word_chain` (Casual), `strict_chain` (Strict), `golf`, or `mini_sentence`.
- `choice`: the option the run pushed Jev toward; empty unless the question is a choice question.
- `currentRevision`: false for guesses on an earlier wording of the question, whose percentages may not compare.
- `guessedAt`: when Jev scored it, as an ISO 8601 timestamp.

The same word shows up once per time it was guessed, since its percentage depends on the phrase around it.
